Sicilian Food Culture supports local Sicilian artisans
Sicily is full of talent, full of artisans who continue today to produce unique objects, of fine workmanship and often with a story behind them that enhances them further. With the advent of large marketplaces like Etsy, even for small shops is now possible to access an international showcase, and we at Sicilian Food Culture, want to support these small realities and allow you to find the best choices of handicraft products of the Etsy marketplace, right here on SFC guaranteeing an exclusive section for Sicilian Artisans within our shop.
Like the wonderful “Sicilian Coffe” handmade by Antonella Muratore with her brand “Le More”, the typical bags symbol of the island’s tradition: hand-woven with natural materials, mostly dwarf palm leaves woven by hand and decorated with the typical motifs of the island, such as the Moorish heads or the Sicilian cart.
But also the incredible ceramics typical of Sicily, with the heads of Moor to be one of the most requested items worldwide. In our shop, you can find some of the breathtaking creations produced by Antonio at his shop “Sicilia Bedda” based in Capaci (a small town near Palermo). Incredible products made and painted by hand with amazing details and colours.
Our goal is to update our shop on a regular basis, so we can offer an overview of the best handmade products on Etsy, from ceramics to fashion, fabrics, Sicilian carts and much more, so stay tuned and check our shop regularly!
