GEPI Expo 2026: Four Days Dedicated to the Food Industry in Sicily

If you’re involved in the food industry and happen to be in Sicily at the end of October, there’s an event worth knowing about.

From 25 to 28 October, SiciliaFiera in Misterbianco, just outside Catania, will be hosting GEPI Expo 2026, a four-day event bringing together professionals from the world of food, catering, pizza, pastry and gelato.

The organisers were kind enough to invite Sicilian Food Culture along this year, and we’d like to thank them for thinking of us. Sadly, we won’t be able to make it this time, but hopefully we’ll have the chance to attend next year!

So, what can you expect?

The exhibition covers around 8,000 square metres, divided into four main areas.

There’s Pizza Concept, where pizza makers and industry professionals can discover new equipment, ingredients and techniques, with live demonstrations along the way.

Those with a sweet tooth (or, more importantly, those working in the trade!) will probably be drawn to Pastry Zone, dedicated to gelato, chocolate, pastry and everything in between.

Risto Hub focuses on professional kitchens and catering equipment, while the Food Truck Area explores the growing world of mobile kitchens and street food.

There are also a couple of competitions taking place during the event. On 26 October, the OROFREDDO Trophy will put gelato and semifreddo makers to the test, while 27 October will see pizza makers competing in the GEPI Expo Pizza Trophy.

It’s a great opportunity for people working in the industry to meet, exchange ideas and discover what’s happening in the food business, particularly here in Southern Italy.

We hope everything goes brilliantly this year, and who knows, perhaps we’ll see you there in 2027!
