“Who has an ass can understand”
This funny Sicilian saying is obviously said in a hilarious tone, to apologise and justify an unintentional fart and since we all have a butt, this indicates that the aforementioned can happen to everyone! The meaning, however, is slightly deeper (no pun intended!) – those who, in a given situation, are in the same condition as you, are consequently able to understand and comprehend you.
