Have you ever heard of this delicious dessert called Caldo-Freddo, literally translated as Hot-Cold? It is an absolute goodness, a true masterpiece of artisan gelato from the west part of the Island. This is a typical product of the Trapani artisan gelato shop, which was already prepared around 1950 in the small beach side town of San Vito Lo Capo.
Its name comes from the combination of the hot and cold ingredients. It has something special when you eat it in front of the sea, enjoying the view of the marvellous beach of San Vito Lo Capo, but trust us – it’s something you want to try also at home!
