(CLOSED) Sicilian Food Culture & The Sicily Cookbook Giveaway
To celebrate our new milestone of 90000 members in our exclusive and wonderful Facebook group, Sicilian Food Culture is extremely proud to introduce a new Sicilian Giveaway for all our Facebook Group Members and give you the chance to enjoy one copy of the amazing “The Sicily Cookbook: Authentic Recipes from a Mediterranean Island” by author Cettina Vicenzino.
Embark on the enchanting culinary journey and experience the culinary delights of the Sicilian diet.
Join Sicilian cook, writer, and photographer Cettina Vicenzino as she shares more than 70 authentic and mouth-watering recipes from this unique Mediterranean island. While only a few miles from Italy, Sicily’s heritage is proudly distinct from that of the mainland, favoring dishes packed with spices, citrus fruits, cheeses, olives, tomatoes, eggplants, and seafood.
Featuring three strands of Sicilian cooking – Cucina Povera (peasant food), Cibo di Strada (street food), and Cucina dei Monsù (sophisticated food) – alongside profiles on local chefs and food producers, The Sicily Cookbook invites you to discover the island’s culinary culture and let your summer cooking burst with Mediterranean sunshine.
Entering the giveaway is super easy. Just click on the big green button below to log in with your email address, and start to perform the required actions (i.e. visit our Facebook page, share our blog post..). Ciao Philip…
I am very excited to have come across this group! I was born in Sicilia but left while I was very young. This interactive group brings it all in for me…
Gianni
Such a wonderful page to share our food and our stories. Love it!
I love learning new Sicilian recipes! My family is mostly Sicilian & Calabrese. It’s interesting how many recipes are thought “foreign” to modern Americans of Sicilian descent because they weren’t accepted by descendants. I mean recipes for pasta filing which incorporate orange zest & sugar, or other examples which recall Moorish & even Spanish or Arabic recipes.
Sebastiano…
Incomparable dishes! Who else but a siciliano will eat Pasta che sardi!
Nui tutti avemu bisogniu de la terra che carpistamu…
Best sites for recipes.
I’m very happy that I joined this group. It’s been a pleasure to see all the wonderful recipes from all over the beautiful island of Sicily.
This is an amazing group, I have been trying so many of your recipes, this has really broadened my comfort zone when it comes to tackling new recipes, I visited Sicily in 2019 for the first time, it certainly won’t be my last, I absolutely loved Sicilia.👍

Ciao Agnes…
I spent two months in Sicilia in 2018/2019. What a blast! Every night at dinner it was “a tavula nun cci voli affruntu!” I’m going back in 2022 for three months…
Thanks to this Sicilian group I have been able to extend my knowledge of Sicilian culture and cooking.
This group has piqued my interest in my heritage. I love being a part of the group. I have learned so many things, recipes, `and beautiful cities, customs, etc. It has made me want to visit Sicily. Both sides of my family are Sicilian. I never realized how beautiful it is.
