Sicily is one of the best destinations for 2020 according to Forbes
Is 2020 going to be the year of Sicily? According to Forbes, the most influential U.S. magazine worldwide in terms of trends, Sicily is the second-best destination to visit in 2020 (we know, it should’ve been in the first place!).
Right after Lake Powell with Antelope Canyon, between Utah and Arizona in the United States of America, our beloved Island ranks second on the podium in the list of the best destinations for 2020, compiled by Ovation Travel Group’s agency for Forbes magazine.
The only Italian stage, among all the others in the ranking, Sicily wins the silver medal among the most popular destinations for tourists looking for new experiences for this 2020. But there’s more because, according to Forbes’ experts, Sicily is also the best European destination recommended for the new year.
According to Forbes, the Italian island contains some of the most remarkable tourist sites in the world, including the legendary Valle dei Templi, where the remains of seven Doric temples are located in a breathtaking setting of almond and olive trees. A great satisfaction for the Sicilian island that feels looked over its shoulders by extraordinary landscapes such as the Douro Valley in Portugal, Dubrovnik in Croatia and Kotor in Montenegro.
According to Ashley Diamond, a luxury travel consultant for Ovation Travel Group: “Sicily has an authenticity that has faded from many other parts of the world. “Countries like Noto are famous for their baroque architecture and limestone facades.”
On Forbes.com you can read: “Forbes recommends the trip to Sicily especially for families and couples and invites you to explore the mysterious landscape of Etna, the largest volcano in Europe and one of the most active volcanoes in the world”.
But Forbes is not the first magazine mentioning Sicily – have you read our article about The New York Times?
