Cònzala comu vuoi ca sempri cucuzza è

“Season it as you like but it is still zucchini”

This Sicilian saying indicates that whatever expedient is found when the basic material is insufficient, insipid, with little taste, good results cannot be obtained. It is usually used to refer to a bland person or a situation that can hardly be improved, as well as the bland taste of zucchini.
