The famous singer and actor is considered by many music critics to be the greatest voice of the 20th century.
He was born in Hoboken in 1915 to parents of Italian origins: he was the only child of the Italian immigrants Natalina “Dolly” Garaventa and Antonino Martino “Marty” Sinatra. His father Marty was Sicilian from Lercara Friddi.
