Paste di Mandorla
Sicilian almond pastries (Paste di Mandorla Siciliane) are mouth-watering and inviting treats, very easy to prepare and perfect to be enjoyed even on special occasions. These are small soft biscuits, similar to macaroons but made with only sweet almonds and garnished with candied cherries. Not having a bitter aftertaste, they are loved even by the little ones!

Biancomangiare
The Biancomangiare is a very delicate and elegant dessert, able to satisfy the most refined palates. The biancomangiare was a dish prepared already in medieval times. Presumably imported by the Arabs, it spread to many parts of southern Italy, particularly in Sicily where the tradition is still preserved, especially in the small city of Modica.
Granita Siciliana
In all of eastern Sicily the granita with brioche and cream is a staple, and indeed is a perfect combination, THE perfect match. It is usually consumed during breakfast (but obviously available at all hours of the day), and it represents a moment of relaxation during the long and hot summer days. You can find it in various flavours such as strawberry, coffee, chocolate, almonds, mulberries, pistachio but for sure one of most famous is the Lemon one, also due to the fact that Sicily has the best lemons in the world!
